"The theory of infinity is the driving force between human kind's continued aspiration for becoming better than they are today. The minute something is known as finite it becomes less of an adventure, more of a task that we are not necessarily eager to fulfill as soon as possible. What's the point? We know it will end at some point, so why hurry? Should we hurry to the end and then settle for going no further? Sit around while waiting to die? That sounds like the lamest thing to do. It's like retiring. But how can an overall species retire? There must be some more boundaries that we can cross, a threshold we can step over in order to achieve new knowledge or experiences. We thrive on besting ourselves. Only the coward and the complacent settles for going no further."
